Prague Pride: One of the Most Colourful Event in Prague
At the end of summer Prague is hosting many colourful outdoor events. But one of them is regularly more colourful than the others. It is a Prague Pride Parade and Prague Pride Festival which start from 8th August 2016 and will continue until Sunday 14th August 2016. Prague Pride is really special event in colours of rainbow!

Czech Republic legalized registered partnership for same-sex couples in 2006. Since then, Prague is generally known for its large gay community. Since August 2011, Prague hosts LGBT festival which is called Prague Pride. LGBT festival’s program is full of various events such as cultural, social, sporting and concerts. For instance DIY workshop & Chillin Prague, Queer workshop for continuing education, Christian Love and Queer Theology and Speed Dating are some of these events. During festival week LGBT and gay-friendly companies support the program. In order to feel them at ease. So everything is thought broadly.
How will be Prague Pride 2016?
This year Prague Pride events are more exclusive because special guests are invited to Prague Pride for instance; Omar Sharif Jr, grandson of the legendary actor (an actor and LGBT activist himself & the first public personality to ever come out as openly gay in the Arab World) and first outed transgender priest Shannon Kearns and more. Don’t miss a chance to listen these inspiring people. The program goes on with concerts and dancing. Also you will not want to miss performers who are DJ Ipek, American band Betty, DJs Alinka and more! Besides if you want to attend other events, there will be Pride Conferences, Pride Theater, art workshops and etc.
This year Pride Prague is on 8-14 August at Střelecký Island also it is known as Shooters Island. During Prague Pride island is considered as Pride Village. The main part of the Prague Pride is a Prague Pride Parade which will on 13 August at 12:00 – 15:00 o’clock in Wenceslas Square, Václavské náměstí.
